Nancy Stek - Bio

Nancy Stek, MS, LCADC is the Associate Director of the New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program and the New Jersey Judges’ Assistance Program. Her career spans the fields of health care, education and the non-profit sector and she has been a featured speaker at both local and national conferences including the Commission on Lawyers Assistance of the American Bar Association, National Judicial College, Rutgers School of Alcohol Studies, New Jersey Department of Education and the Canadian Bar Association. Nancy was a pioneer in the field of Student Assistance in New Jersey and developed the first student assistance program at Whittier College in California. She also served as lead trainer for First Light Partners, providing on-going training programs for medical professionals, social workers and addiction specialists in Ukraine.

An Associate Member of the ABA, Nancy is very active on several CoLAP (Commission on Lawyers Assistance Programs) committees including Annual Conference Planning Committee. She is a licensed addictions counselor, a volunteer Disaster Response Crisis Counselor, a Certified Life Coach, Certified StressHardiness Trainer and a Reiki Master Practitioner. In addition to her work with ASAP, Nancy is also on the Board of the New Jersey Repertory Company, which specializes in producing new plays of both established and new playwrights.
